Swatting

The SWAT team on someone's door step.
The term "swatting" is now a part of the worries and vocabulary of many police authorities, schools and homes around the United States. Recently, what started the nation-wide frenzy was the dial of 9-1-1 as an April Fool's Day prank. Swatting is when a person calls the police claiming there is a terrible crime being committed in a home or school in the area. Full on percussions are usually followed through with, like the SWAT team, and they search for either a gunman or a hostage. One story is of a family in Tennessee, they were pranked by an unidentified number, when an all-out law enforcement response showed up at their front door. The call told authorities the family had kidnapped and were holding someone hostage.
The Police arrive at a home in a van.
