Mom Wakes Up From Coma with a Surprise

Four months ago, in December, a pregnant woman was in a terrible car accident which left her in a coma. In January, due to the critical condition Sharista Giles, 20, was left in, the doctors were forced to deliver the baby. The baby boy, the family has yet to name him, as they refer to him as "Baby L," weighted less than two pounds. The doctors told the family that Giles would never wake up, so the moved to her Harriman Care and Rehabilitation Center in March. Wednesday though, when Giles opened her eyes for the first time, the nurses called her family, who rushed to the hospital to see her. They shared the news of her baby, but they are unable to let her see her baby boy until she leaves the hospital she is in.

Sharista Giles.
