Deadly Lightning Strikes Kill Colombian Tribe Members

Early Monday morning, the native tribe of the remote Northern Mountains of Colombia was in the mist of completely their ritual when things took a turn for the worst. A thunderstorm approaching lashed out with lightning. A bizarre lightning strike hit some of their straw huts, which ignited and killed a few villagers.

It was reported at least 11 people died from the flames and 13 were injured. Helicopters airlifted them to the closest hospitals for medical assistant. One person was hit by lightning on the beach and was found dead.

Condolences were sent out to the relatives to those that were killed from Colombian's President Juan Manuel Santos.
